What’s all the “BUZZ ” about AF wine? 

AF-Alcohol-free is a movement; times are changing, and so are we. More and more people are choosing to add alcohol-free products to their lifestyles for many reasons. As a result, we have been shipping in and sampling all the top-rated brands since June 2022 to bring you the BEST alcohol-free options right here in Armstrong.

How long does it take to make wine?

Depending on the wine you choose, it will take our staff between 4 and 8 weeks to complete the winemaking process at Armstrong Wine & Brew.

Can I make wine that is as good as store-bought brands?

Yes! Our supplier, Andrew Peller, Global Vintners, is the world leader in the consumer-made wine industry, they also own brands including Peller Estates,Trius, Hillebrand, Thirty Bench, Sandhill, Copper Moon, Black Hills, Gray Monk, Tinhorn Creek, Calona Vineyards Artist Series VQA wines and Red Rooster.

For the best wine, allow your wine to age in the bottle – depending on the wine you choose, we will give you the recommendation for ageing.

Is it expensive?

Not at all. We offer a wine for every budget. Because you are making the wine yourself, you save the high tax rates associated with beverage alcohol. Our wines can be made for as little as $4 per bottle, making it very affordable compared to store-bought wine. Check out our Shop and Browse area for full details and pricing.

How do I make my wine?

First, you must decide if you will make your wine at home or our location here in Armstrong. When you choose to ferment your wine here, our experienced wine staff will assist you in selecting the wine to suit your taste based on what you already like to drink. We will also help you in preparing the juice, and you’ll sprinkle the yeast. (the law) Over the next several weeks, Armstrong Wine & Brew will carefully follow all the necessary steps to create delicious wine. When your wine is complete, you’ll return and to bottle or bag your finished product. You can either bring your bottles that are clean or purchase new bottles at the store. After bottling, you can apply custom labels created just for you and top it off with a coordinating shrink. Alternatively, If you make your wine at home, you’ll find it easy and rewarding. You’ll need some inexpensive equipment, which pays for itself after your first couple of batches. We offer starter kits with everything you need all in one box. Our wine kits come with step-by-step instructions and take only about 4 hours over a few weeks. The process can vary slightly from wine to wine, but generally, there are four necessary steps: Primary Fermentation, Secondary Fermentation, Stabilizing and Clearing and Bottling.

What is the alcohol content of the wines?

The alcohol level in our wines varies by style and ranges from 11% to 14.5%. Our specialty dessert wines are as high as 17%. Furthermore, our Island Mists are lower at 6%.

Do Winexpert kits make sweet or dry wines?

We offer both dry and off-dry wines. Our staff will help you choose a wine that’s as dry or as sweet as you like.
